Well... this a huge chunk of recent work. I've done many things that happen to be blog worthy.

Through my good friends at PK Pictures/NuMynd Studios, I got connected with Corporate Magic INC to shoot the Grand Re-opening of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. What an amazing event/experience... I got all-star treatment and clearance for pretty much anything I needed to get "the shot." Corporate Magic INC created and produced the entire event for Gaylord. PK Pictures created much of the digital content for the multiple shows and events. I also got some shots of Keith Urban, The Rockettes, Trace Adkins, Guy Fieri, and Sheryl Crow.

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to be a second shooter for Kate Murphy. Her work happens to be amazing... She shoots high end weddings, operates out of New York City, and she'll travel anywhere. This wedding took place at Vanderbilt's Benton Chapel and TPAC's War Memorial Auditorium. Here are few shots of the groom + groomsmen:

I have much more to show you.... but I've got to get packed. Liz and I decided to take a spur of the moment anniversary trip to Guatemala. We leave tomorrow to take Fin to my parents and fly out of Atlanta early Wednesday morning. Wish us well!

Every time I open blogspot and begin a new blog, without fail... I write, "Its been a while."

For my lack of variety in opening sentences, I apologize. For not keeping you up to date lately... I apologize.

While my bios across the web may not reflect it just yet, IM NOW A FATHER!!! I have a son. William Finley Knowles IV aka Fin. Both Liz and Fin are doing great. He's now 12 days old, all he does is sleep... unless, of course, you speak of the night.

Also, not be held in the same light... the day we left for the hospital i finished our dining room table. Here it is.

Today, Liz and I met some really cool people/neighbors, Stephen and Amanda Jerkins. She's a wedding stylist/flora designer and he's a photographer. I love to meet young creatives.

On our way home from some errands, we passed a small cardboard sign that advertised a garage sale just off our route home. Im not sure what got into me, or how I even noticed it, but I was in the mood to mill around someone else's leftovers.

You might say we hit it off. And if our professions didn't lay the foundation, the sign that read "Free Scrap Wood" at the top of their yard certainly wooed me.

And while I want you to know about these two people and their work, I also want you to know that with their scrap wood, I've made two new pieces of furniture.

Endtables! They both look like this... I just need to get some white porcelain hardware for it and it will be complete.

I think I'm addicted to creating in this medium. I keep trying to figure out how I can start building furniture for other people and make a business out of it. I mean... how awesome would that be!

Its been so long... And I apologize. I promise I have good reasoning. You see... we bought an abode. Thus far, I think the nicest compliment we've received is "This is actually a real home." While its a starter home for us, we bought it with the intention of living here until circumstances require a change. We had an amazing group of about 20-25 people help us paint and get our place settled. We'll forever be indebted to them.

For those interested in the specifics:
-4 bedrooms
-2 bath
-1 walk-in closet
-1475 sq ft
-Built in 1964
-We're the 2nd owner

We feel incredibly blessed.

One of the greatest things the house has offered me lately is the space to build things. Its allowed me to fall back in love with carpentry. After doing a few things around the house, the first thing i started to dream up was a new desk for my office. I think I ended up with a pretty sexy looking desk and cabinet.

Liz has been keeping people updated on what the house looks like via our Flip Camera.

I apologize for falling off the face of the earth. These past few weeks have been... exhausting. Family vacation, working through buying a home, and work in between all that.

Last night my friends Nate and Noffy of The Sailor Sequence and I did the most epic thing... With the help of PK Pictures/NuMynd Studios, we were able to carry out a photoshoot for their band.

Here are a few of the favorites from the night.

Now that you've seen that, check out the time lapse we made set to Modeselektor - I Love you.

All I have are questions.

How am I supposed to stay relevant? How do i keep up with the different parts of the web and all the amazing blogs? How do I stay creative while my days are all workflow and process? How do I get back to the days where I just played with photography? How do I make time to do things that give me inspiration? I thought photography wasn't a desk job? How do I utilize more than 24 hours in a day? The list could go on and on...

The good news is that I love what I do.

I just wish I had more time to be.

Just curious, how do you manage?

I'm taking a quick break from my day to tell you about something awesome.... In case you haven't seen my tweets from this past weekend, I've built a bed! It's been a while since I've built anything... It was so good to be out in the garage covered in saw dust.

I realize its been a little quiet in this blogosphere. I swear I have the best of intentions. Photography has kept me so busy that this is the first moment I've found to tell you my happenings. Be on the lookout the next couple of weeks to see some amazing new work (If i say so myself).

Wedding: Allie and Nate

I hope these next two portray how hilarious these moments were.
